Funky Feet?

April 30th, 2008

Summer is near. Now is the best time to start caring for you feet. My feet tend to get drier during the cooler months. I have found that using apple cider vinegar really really really helps. The stuff is amazing. It’s like having a whole new set of feet!! It requires just a bit of organizing but worth every effort!

Facts

Apple cider vinegar is rich in alpha-hydroxy acids, helping to dissolve fatty deposits on the skin’s surface and reducing scaly conditions, promoting a softer, smoother appearance. This miracle fluid also regulates the pH of the skin.

What you’ll need :

Love for you, foot bath or small tub big enough for your feet to fit in, organic apple cider vinegar, warm water, small spray bottle with an antibacterial solution, small container to hold smaller amounts of ACV, a pumice stone, towel

Recipe:

add about a cup of ACV to a tub of warm water and soak your feet for 20 min. ( i do a 1/2 hour), then before taking your feet out, gently rub the “rough” spots with the pumice stone. Rinse and dry your feet, and apply your favorite moisturizer.

Do this 2-3 times a week for the first few weeks then decrease as results are achieved.

When you are done be sure to empty your tub and wash it out. After drying, spray with the antibacterial solution and put it up. Do this with all the tools you use.

Suggestions:

You can keep your tools in a small mesh bag so that they stay dry and organized

Keeping a small drink container with ACV makes it convenient to store with all your foot care products together.
