46,000 Negative thoughts a day

April 30th, 2008

You Have Over 46,000
Negative Thoughts A Day!

That amounts to over 16 million negative thoughts a year… and… over 160 million negative thoughts every decade of your life. Yes, 160 million.

Also, with 86,400 seconds in a day, you have one negative thought every two seconds of your day…every day of your life.

So what, you may ask? They are just thoughts, aren’t they? It’s not as if they are something physical, like dangerous microbes…  Right?

Wrong!

Neuroscientists have discovered that thoughts are actually electrical impulses that trigger electrical and chemical switches in the brain and cause your body to mentally, emotionally, and physically react to the nature of the thought. Therefore, positive thoughts cause positive reactions, and negative thoughts cause negative mental, emotional, and physical reactions.

In other words, thoughts are not just psychological. They are physiological!

Now, imagine for a moment what 160 million ‘mental parasites’ can do to you every decade of your life.

Unfortunately, a lot of harm.

We live in a society full of health problems, low self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression, dysfunctional relationships, harmful habits, unnecessary fears, doubts, frustration, obesity, overwhelming debt, rising suicide rates, failure to make it through life, and hopelessness. Even in our modern day, it’s not an exaggeration to say 99% of the people on Earth do not have even close to the life they want.

This Has Got To Stop!

And the solution, at first, seemed straightforward.

If 77% of our thoughts are negative, then for every positive thought you have, there are three negative thoughts battling against it. A losing proposition.

So why not think more positively, enlarge the number of positive thoughts, and win this battle in your mind!

Sounds like a logical solution, but unfortunately, flawed.

You see, this mental battle is engaged not just in your conscious thought, but also in your subconscious thought (which you aren’t aware of). And while some methods… like positive thinking…may help change your conscious thoughts, they don’t work in changing the subconscious ones.

And here’s the really bad news… research shows your subconscious thoughts have a lot more influence than your conscious ones!

The reason is your subconscious is like a computer program. Since you were born, your subconscious was programmed with 16 million negative thoughts year after year. Negative thoughts from the news, media, our schools, our friends, our parents, and society. Theses thoughts are saved and permanently stored in your subconscious programming. And since your subconscious doesn’t know right from wrong, it chooses to stubbornly believe and act upon its dominant thought pattern…which is negative.

The result?

You become a prisoner to these destructive ‘mental parasites’ eating away at your life and your potential, at a cumulative pace of every two seconds!
